The COVID-19 pandemic is still very present, and the reality is, we don’t know when and or if it will come to an end. We are in the space of the unknown. The good news is, we have control over what nutrients we put in our body. It’s up to us to do our due diligence and keep our immune system boosted.
For the longest time when I juiced, I would just free style it, ie. use whatever produce I had and come up with delicious recipes. During the pandemic, I decided to juice with purpose. I researched the top fruits and vegetables with the most vitamin C, antioxidants, and anti-inflammatory properties. I came up with Immunity 19, this juice cocktail (non-alcoholic) not only tastes amazing, but it’s super charged with what our bodies need to fight the good fight.
What’s in Immunity 19?
The recipe includes pineapple, which is the Queen of vitamin C, is also rich in zinc. papaya, which is loaded with vitamin C and vitamin A. Did you know red bell pepper has 5 times as much vitamin c than an orange? True story, so I included it in the recipe of course. It has fresh Turmeric and Ginger, which is high in antioxidants and anti-inflammatory properties. Black pepper which is used to activate the properties in the Turmeric to ensure our bodies absorb them.
Immunity 19 is a delicious juice cocktail that is one of my secret weapons when it comes to keeping me and my family healthy. And the garnishes include freshly ground black pepper and orange twist, which is a great reminder that you deserve the best!
